A typewritten speech by Paul V. Beck explaining his reasons for running for the US Senate, apparently for 1944, on a platform of separating economics from political control and a mediated peace of the war. Though he notes he hails from Missouri, he ran as an Independent for the open Oklahoma seat in 1944 (losing with just 0.16% of the total vote).

Contains a printed page from the Purchaser's Digest of September 1949 (p. 11) listing members in the Purchasing Agents Association of Oklahoma City as of July 1, 1949. The reverse (p. 12) contains an incomplete article by Dr. Lewis H. Haney, Professor of Economics, NYU, "Today's Business Trends."
