Concerns about the Proposed Transfer of the Administration of Native Americans
Scope and Contents
The letter is a response to Ms. Favela K. Chibitty expressing concern about the proposed transfer of the Administration for Native Americans (ANA) from the Department of Health and Human Services to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The author believes that the transfer is unnecessary and could be an unnecessary expense for the government. They also express concern about the potential phase-out of ANA and the impact it would have on the Indian community. The author mentions that language has been added to a bill prohibiting the transfer of ANA.
