The text contains information about a man named carl Pittman who is trying to learn why his ancestors were denied enrollment with the Choctaw nation of oklahoma. The Choctaw nations rolls were closed in 1907, and in order to be enrolled, interested persons had to meet certain requirements during the enrollment period. Apparently, Mr. Pittman's ancestors did not meet the requirements for enrollment. The records Mr. Pittman is interested in obtaining were recently transferred to the federal archives and records center.
