The text contains information about a man named carl Pittman who is trying to find out why his ancestors were denied enrollment with the Choctaw nation of oklahoma. The Choctaw nations rolls were closed in 1907, and in order to be enrolled, interested persons had to meet certain requirements related to residency, blood ties to the tribe, and applications filed during a certain period. Apparently, Mr. Pittman's ancestors did not meet these requirements and were not enrolled. The records Mr. Pittman is interested in obtaining are located at the federal archives and records center in fort worth, Texas.
