The united Indian tribes of western oklahoma and Kansas, incorporated, is urging senator Byrd to appoint oklahoma senator David l. Boren to the senate select committee on Indian affairs. The organization believes that Boren is knowledgeable of and interested in Indian affairs, and that the committee is vital to the oklahoma Indian community.
