A man named c. L Harp wrote a letter to congressman James r. Jones expressing his concern about the Indian preference policy in employment within the bureau of Indian affairs. Harp believes that this policy is discriminatory against non-Indians and creates a situation where unqualified personnel are rapidly filling the ranks of the Bia. Congressman jones contacted the department of interior to request an evaluation of the effects of the Indian preference policy.
