The text discusses the history of the American Indian movement (aim) and its effects on the united states. It explains how the aim has been fighting for the rights of native Americans for many years, and how the Nixon administration instituted a policy of Indian preference in order to help them. However, this policy has had the unintended consequence of preventing non-Indians from getting jobs in the Bia. The author argues that this is unfair and that the situation needs to be rectified.
