Scope and Contents

The letter from Claude Cox to Cecil D. Andrus requests an investigation into allegations that Cox suppressed ceremonial practices of the Creek Nation. Cox denies the allegations, stating that there are more ceremonial grounds active in the Muscogee Nation today than when he first took office in 1971, and that the constant allegations of 'suppression' are untrue.
