Although Mike Monroney was in Congress from 1938 to 1968, the collection has very little material from his years as a representative. In 1973 Monroney had over 90 percent of his early papers destroyed by the National Archives. All that remains from his years in the House are a few folders of speeches and reports on the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946.
