Scope and Contents From the Collection: Although Mike Monroney was in Congress from 1938 to 1968, the collection has very little material from his years as a representative. In 1973 Monroney had over 90 percent of his early papers destroyed by the National Archives. All that remains from his years in the House are a few folders of speeches and reports on the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946. His first years in the Senate are spotty too, by far the bulk of his collection being from 1962 to 1968. The Monroney...
