Scope and Contents
Indian children who live on Indian trust lands or lands held by individual Indians or Indian tribes with restrictions on alienation imposed by the United States are eligible for entitlement under certain laws. Children living in dormitories provided education by a local educational agency as a contract agent for the Bureau of Indian Affairs are not eligible, unless the agency provides free public education on the same basis as other children. Children residing in specific Federal dormitories are eligible for certain entitlements.
