Recommendation for Tribal involvement in Selection of Muskogee-Gee Area Director for The Bureau of Indian Affairs

The Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes of Oklahoma, represented by President B. Bob Stopp, wrote to Rogers C. B. Morton, Secretary of Interior, expressing their desire to have involvement in the selection process for the next area director for the Muskogee-gee area of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Secretary Morton agrees with their request and promises to consider their input. Congressman James R. Jones also supports the council's position and has written to the Bureau of Indian Affairs recommending their involvement. The council's recommendation is submitted for proper consideration.
