He's a Vietnam veteran who's been a leader in the fight for arms control. A Harvard graduate who sponsored the first comprehensive bill to help the homeless and has built a 12-year record of protecting senior citizens and exposing health care fraud. A United States senator who's led the fight for civil and equal rights and been a strong and consistent friend of Israel. He's Al Gore, and he's not afraid of the tough fights. Ten years ago, he led the first congressional investigation of Love Canal, and then Al Gore sponsored the law that makes chemical companies pay to clean up toxic waste. Five years ago, he saw that senior citizens were paying far too much for prescription drugs. Al Gore helped write the law to lower those costs for all consumers. And eight years ago, he exposed companies who were selling unsafe infant formula, and Al Gore sponsored the law to ensure that they could never do it again. Vote for Al Gore. He's got a solid record. He can win.
