Transcription
American sailors are risking their lives escorting oil tankers in the Persian Gulf. A lot of that oil is going to our friends in Japan. But friendship should be a two-way street. We need a president who's willing to lay it on the line. We're helping them in the Gulf. They should be helping us back home. A solid trade policy is not based on putting up embargoes or barriers. It's all about nations working together and helping each other. Maybe all it takes is a little toughness and common sense. I look forward to working with you.
