Walter Mondale says a leader must look to the future. Well, how would our future look under Walter Mondale? There wouldn't be a space program because he voted against the space shuttle. There wouldn't be a strong national defense because he voted to weaken defenses 18 times. And while President Reagan sees a future of opportunity, Walter Mondale sees us returning to the years of high taxes and unemployment. President Reagan's vision of the future is 2020. Walter Mondale's is 1920.
