This shipyard used to be bustling with people. That's when we had the world's strongest Navy. And now who's number one? The Russians. I'm Scoop Jackson. As president, I'd start rebuilding our Navy and Merchant Marine. You realize that during the last eight years, this administration has cut our Navy by as many ships each year as were lost at Pearl Harbor. This has to stop, and I'd stop it. Elect Senator Scoop Jackson.
