Scope and Contents

David Bartlett is writing to John Speck to inform him that his brother, Ex-Governor Dewey Bartlett, is considering running for the U.S. Senate in 1972. Dewey has been traveling around Oklahoma to build support and has hired a team to help with his campaign. David is asking for financial contributions to support Dewey's pre-campaign activities. He requests that checks be made payable to the Oklahoma Committee.
