Maps, 1928-1944
Scope and Contents
This series includes oversized maps from the 1930s-1950s that show Oklahoma’s roads, towns, proposed lakes, and tourist draws—everything from county highway blueprints and chamber-of-commerce brochures to hand-drawn conservation plans. A handful of national pipeline and power-grid charts round out the group, giving a snapshot of how local boosters and planners envisioned travel and development in mid-century America.
