Scope and Contents
This document describes a project plan for rearranging furniture in the House of Representatives, approved on 26th March 1977. The layout includes professional desks and chairs, typing desks, bookcases, file cabinets, side chairs, and reception areas. Each desk will have a telephone and duplex convenience outlets. The Clerk of the House will provide all furniture and furnishings, with telephones installed by the C&P Telephone Company. The plan also includes new floor to ceiling partitions while existing structures will remain. The work area is located on the partial fifth floor of Annex 21 in the House Office Building, as visualized in the included key plans and preliminary drawing by the Architect of the Capitol, George M. White.
