The Department of Health, Education, and Welfare received a letter from tuberculosis patients at Talihina Indian Hospital expressing their opposition to being transferred to a state tuberculosis sanatorium. The Indian Health Area Director assured that current services were not being discontinued, and the Division of Indian Health confirmed that there were no plans to change the availability of health services for the patients. The patients' letter expressing their concerns was enclosed in the response to Senator Monroney.
