Scope and Contents

The letter is from William E. Reed to Honorable Elmer Thomas, expressing concern about the sale of Indian lands and the unfair treatment of the timber on the lands. Reed asks for the sale to be postponed and for an investigation to be conducted before any further action is taken. Senator Thomas assures Reed that he will do what he can to help and work towards a fair resolution.
