1937 Correspondence Regarding Per Capita Payments to Choctaw and Chickasaw Tribes, 1937-12-13
Scope and Contents
W. F. Hendrix inquired about per capita payments to the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes of Oklahoma. The Indian Office advised against distributing the funds in small per capita shares, suggesting that the money be conserved for projects benefiting the general Indian population.
