Scope and Contents

The letter is from Bed Coffee to Senator Elmer Thomas expressing concern about the sale of Indian lands with valuable timber without proper compensation. Coffee requests the sale be postponed until an investigation is done and mineral rights are reserved. Senator Thomas assures Coffee that he is working with Chief Durant to address the protests and will do what he can to help.
