Correspondence on Choctaw Tribe's Per Capita Payment and Provisions of the Thomas-Rogers Act, 1937-06-10
Scope and Contents
Durant inquired about a per capita payment for the Choctaw Tribe this year, but was informed by Elmer Thomas that the funds will not permit it. Thomas suggested Durant contact his Superintendent for more information on the Thomas-Rogers Act. Durant also asked Senator Thomas about the possibility of the government making a per capita payment to the Choctaw Tribe and if they would be able to get any loans under the Rogers Thomas Welfare Act.
