Scope and Contents

Senator Elmer Thomas is seeking assistance from the Indian Office in securing funds for the construction of a bridge across Red Rock Creek near the Otoe Agency. The State of Oklahoma may be able to fund the bridge, but the Indian Service does not have sufficient funds. The Office of Indian Affairs is looking into the matter and will provide a further report. Senator Thomas is hopeful that the necessary funds can be secured to improve the road and benefit both the Indians and local cities.
