The letter is from Jesse B. Milam, Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, thanking Senator Eimer Thomas for his actions in preventing the destruction of records of the Five Civilized Tribes. Milam offers the services of the Oklahoma Historical Society to store any records that are no longer needed.
