Scope and Contents
Senator Elmer Thomas received a letter from James R. Spain inquiring about per capita payments to the Choctaw and Chickasaw Tribes. The Office of Indian Affairs responded, stating that per capita payments were not planned and that the funds would be used for a more constructive purpose. The letter from the Office of Indian Affairs was forwarded to Spain for his information.
