Scope and Contents

Mrs. Lela Hulsey wrote to Senator Elmer Thomas about the Indian claim against the government, expressing the need for the debt to be settled. She mentioned that the Department of Justice is delaying the case, and requested assistance in getting the money owed to the Indians. Senator Thomas responded, assuring Mrs. Hulsey that he will do his best to help.
