Scope and Contents

Senator Elmer Thomas received a letter from Governor Johnston of the Chickasaw Nation requesting authorization to come to Washington for official business. Senator Thomas acknowledges the request and informs Governor Johnston that he has sent a letter to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs on his behalf. Senator Thomas also advises Governor Johnston against coming to Washington at the present time due to extreme weather conditions. Governor Johnston expresses his gratitude to Senator Thomas for his assistance and updates him on his health.
