Scope and Contents

Senator Elmer Thomas is requesting an update on three Indian trusts that have not yet been approved by the Department of the Interior. The Commerce Trust Company is seeking clarification on the requirements that need to be met for approval. They are also discussing the importance of handling the funds of rich Indians in the best possible manner to ensure the protection of the Indians and their dependents. Senator Thomas is asked to investigate the status of the trusts and provide information on why they have not been approved.
