Scope and Contents

The letter is a response from Senator Elmer Thomas to Dr. A. C. Parker regarding the payment of expenses for Mrs. W.A. Henricks to come to Washington in connection with a convention. Senator Thomas mentions that there are no funds available for her expenses unless the Indian Office is willing to cover them. He also discusses the success of the Indian Arts Project in New York and suggests expanding it throughout the United States.
