Scope and Contents

Mrs. Ross McClure wrote to Senator Elmer Thomas requesting information on the status of a request for $27,000 in funding to extend the city water supply to the Shawnee Sanatorium and Agency. Senator Thomas replied that the request had been approved by the Bureau of Budget and would be submitted for Congressional action in the Interior Department's Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year of 1948. He assured Mrs. McClure that he would actively support the item and keep her informed of any developments.
