Scope and Contents

James H. Hyde, Superintendent of Crow Creek Agency in South Dakota, sent a valuable Indian War Club to Elmer Thomas, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs in Washington, D.C. The club will be placed in the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs as part of a growing collection of Indian goods, wares, and trophies. The Indians from the Big Bend district of the reservation donated the war club for use in the Senate Public Committee rooms.
