Elmer Thomas received a letter from the County Superintendent of Muskogee, Oklahoma regarding the amount of money available for salaries of truancy officers. He promised to look into the matter and provide more detailed information soon. He also forwarded the letter to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs in Washington, D.C. asking for suggestions on how to handle the funds in Oklahoma.
