Correspondence Between Elmer Thomas and Dave Bohanon Regarding Endorsements and Position of Principal Chief of the Choctaw Indian Nation, 1935-09-27
Scope and Contents
Bohanon wrote a letter to Senator Elmer Thomas requesting the return of his endorsements for the position of Principal Chief of the Choctaw Indian Nation. Senator Thomas responded, explaining that due to heavy correspondence, the endorsements may have been placed in a store-room and he will try to locate them. Senator Thomas also expressed regret that more favorable action could not be taken on Bohanon's application and offered future assistance.
