Correspondence Regarding Legislation for 'Rejected' Indians, 1946-06-15
Scope and Contents
Mrs. Rilla Lybarger wrote a letter to Senator Elmer Thomas inquiring about the status of a measure for "rejected" Indians. Senator Thomas replied that the measure is still pending in committee and he is hopeful that Congress will pass it. Mrs. Lybarger expressed concern about her family members who were rejected as Indians and asked for guidance on what to do next. Senator Thomas thanked her for her views and assured her that he would keep her updated.
