Miss Dallas Dunzy of Holdenville, Oklahoma wrote a letter to Senator Elmer Thomas inquiring about payments made to Creek Indians. The Commissioner of Indian Affairs responded explaining the history of equalization payments made to Creek Nation members, detailing the legislation and funds allocated for this purpose. The letter also advised Miss Dunzy to direct any further inquiries about Creek tribal property to the Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
