Scope and Contents

Jerry Muskrat is a student in his last year of law training at Harvard Law School and has requested financial assistance from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Bureau has declined to assume payment of his loan obligations but is currently funding him on a tuition and fees basis. Senator Fred Harris has expressed disappointment in the response from the Deputy Commissioner of the Bureau of Indian Affairs and has requested a review of Muskrat's case. Muskrat has thanked Senator Harris for his efforts and is seeking further assistance in obtaining financial aid for his tuition expenses.
