Scope and Contents

Mrs. Floriene Chesbro wrote to Senator Fred R. Harris seeking assistance for her son to obtain scholarship funds from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Senator Harris responded by contacting the Bureau of Indian Affairs on her behalf. The Bureau sent application forms to Mrs. Chesbro's son, and she was advised to have him complete and return them by April 1st. Senator Harris expressed his willingness to help and support Mrs. Chesbro and her son in pursuing further education opportunities.
