American Revolution Bicentennial Commission: Nationwide Network of Bicentennial Parks and Other Initiatives, 1972-02-22
Scope and Contents
The American Revolution Bicentennial Commission has approved a concept for a nationwide network of Bicentennial Parks to be built on federally donated land. The commission also passed a resolution to work towards eradicating sickle cell anemia by 1976. The commission is also working on hosting a National Bicentennial Conference and encouraging volunteer groups to form councils in communities. The goal is to create lasting heritage programs and involve every American in the Bicentennial celebration.
