Mrs. Jessie Smallwood, Executive Director of Stanislaus County Community Action Commission, received a letter from LaDonna Harris, Chairman of the Women's Advisory Council on Poverty, thanking her for offering services to the council. Harris outlined ways Smallwood could help foster relationships between women's organizations and community action agencies, encourage involvement of women's groups, and share success stories to counter negative press about anti-poverty efforts. Harris expressed gratitude for Smallwood's cooperation.
