Declining an Invitation Due to Schedule Conflict: Correspondence Between Oklahoma Community Action Director's Association and Mrs. Fred R. Harris, 1967-12-05

Scope and Contents

LaDonna Harris regrets that she cannot accept an invitation to speak at the Oklahoma Community Action Director's Association meeting due to a scheduling conflict. The association had rescheduled the meeting to January 11th and 12th, and LaDonna Harris had a prior commitment. The association had originally invited Senator Fred Harris, but upon learning of LaDonna Harris's new appointment as Chairman of the Women's Advisory Council on Poverty, they extended the invitation to her instead. They express regret that Senator Harris cannot attend and hope that LaDonna Harris can make it.
