Mrs. Virginia Sloan, Chairman of the Committee on Children's Rights, invited LaDonna Harris to participate in the Oklahoma Health and Welfare State Conference program on "Children's Rights" on November 14, 1967. LaDonna Harris expressed interest but was unable to make a definite commitment at that time. Mrs. Sloan confirmed LaDonna Harris's participation and requested a biographical sketch for the program. Both parties expressed pleasure at LaDonna Harris's involvement in highlighting and emphasizing the Rights of Children.
