Scope and Contents

The SWCEL Beacon Schools program focuses on developing innovative classroom practices and materials for teachers. The program aims to identify and support research-oriented teachers and disseminate their methods to other schools. Beacon schools will serve as demonstration centers for new practices, with a focus on improving student achievement and aspiration levels. The program also includes training for first-grade teachers and para-professionals.
