Woodrow Wilson: A Journey through His Life and Legacy at the Woodrow Wilson House, 1967-01-01 - 1967-12-31
Scope and Contents
Woodrow Wilson married Edith Bolling Galt in 1915, making her the third First Lady to marry a president during his term. Edith was a devoted companion to Wilson, accompanying him on trips and supporting his efforts for world peace. After Wilson's death in 1924, Edith ensured their home was preserved as a memorial to him. She passed away in 1961 on Wilson's birthday. The Woodrow Wilson House is now open to the public, showcasing memorabilia and furnishings from Wilson's life.
