1968 Women in the War on Poverty Conference: List of Participating Organizations and Representatives, 1968-01-01 - 1968-12-31
Scope and Contents
Various national organizations, government departments, and local areas responded to a questionnaire regarding the second annual conference of Women in the War on Poverty, held in May 1968. The organizations included B'nai B'rith, National Association of Women's Deans and Counsellors, National Council of Negro Women, and American Association of University Women, among others. Government departments such as Social Security Administration and Department of Agriculture also participated. Local areas represented included Child Development Center in Arlington, Virginia, and Change, Inc. The responses highlighted the involvement of women in addressing poverty and social issues.
