Several young dancers from Lawton, Oklahoma are spending their summer vacations attending dance workshops in various locations across the country, including New York City, North Carolina, Texas, and Kansas. One dancer received a full scholarship to study dance at Southern Methodist University. Additionally, LaDonna Harris, wife of Lawton's U.S. Senator, received the National Education Association's Human Rights Award. Other news includes entertainment at Marlow's Fourth of July celebration and a hair-styling contest winner in Altus.
