Mrs. LaDonna Harris, wife of junior Oklahoma Sen. Fred R. Harris, expressed concern over instances where Indians were turned away from hospitals due to lack of insurance. She encouraged people to report such incidents and offered her assistance as a member of various organizations working on Indian Opportunity and poverty issues. She highlighted the need for better health facilities in the Little Axe area and urged community members to reach out to her for help.
