Scope and Contents

Mrs. Torralba wrote a letter to Senator Harris seeking assistance with her son, Allan's, school problems. Allan was not promoted to the 7th grade due to excessive absences and misconduct. The Bureau of Indian Affairs has been involved in trying to address the situation, including exploring options for Allan to attend a boarding school. Allan's behavior has also attracted the attention of the juvenile authorities. Mrs. Torralba is seeking help in improving her relationship with the school and ensuring Allan's successful education.
