Response to Senator Fred R. Harris Regarding the Employment Status of Mr. Frank Tipton at the Bureau of Indian Affairs, 1971-01-01 - 1971-12-31
Scope and Contents
Senator Harris received a letter from the Bureau of Indian Affairs in response to an inquiry about Mr. Frank Tipton, a teacher at Fort Sill Indian School. Mr. Tipton's employment is being reviewed due to concerns about his performance during his probationary period. The Bureau will delay the decision on retaining him while conducting a thorough review and providing support to help him meet performance standards. Mr. Tipton will be kept informed of the process, and a resolution will be sought that is fair to him and the Indian education program.
